Ice festival held in Catawba over weekend

PORT CLINTON – Gedeon Owen Wine Company hosted a weekend festival from Feb. 6 to Feb. 8.

Visitors wandered through more than 20 ice sculptures at the 3845 E. Wine Cellar Road winery.

Jon Maggard, of Ashland, Kentucky, continued to work on ice sculptures during the weekend.

One of his featured sculptures was of the Marblehead Lighthouse. Over 20 ice sculptures were created by Ice Creations from Napoleon, Ohio, at the Catawba Island Ice Shove event.
