For many, it also marks the unofficial start of summer. Here are things to do during this long weekend in and around Fairfield County.

Lancaster Farmers Market from 8:30 a.m. to noon downtown
Women’s Wellness Hike from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Smeck Park
Bazaar at the Barn from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Barn on the Hill in Thornville
Summer Sip and Thrift from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Outerbelt Brewing
Wildflowers and Fern Walk from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Wahkeena Nature Preserve
Live music from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rhonemus Cellars

Memorial Day at the Wagnalls Memorial Library, starting at 11:30 a.m., will have a parade, food, beverages and other activities.
