Hench Delivery Wagon, early 1900s
Fresh baked goods arrived at customers’ homes in this vintage Hench-Messinger delivery wagon in the early 1900s. The Hench family’s bakery, known for their butter-nut bread, was located in the large brick building on the northeast corner of Ohio Avenue and Pine Street in Fremont for many years, which has changed very little in the way it looks today.
