Anderson Block about 1890

Video Thumbnail

Carl Anderson built this business block on the southeast corner of Arch and Garrison Street in Fremont, pictured here when it was occupied by John Longanbach’s grocery not long after it was constructed about 1890. Notice the old horse and buggy, as well as the single light that hung above the intersection. The back of the Tschumy Block can be seen at the left, and the old houses at the right are now the site of the new Amphitheater. The building is currently being restored for new businesses.
