Wood-Mizer dealer opens in Dresden

Wood-Mizer, a sawmill and woodworking equipment manufacturer, has opened a new dealer location in Dresden, located at 3685 Raiders Road. Wood-Mizer Ohio is the company’s 19th sales location across the nation. It will provide sales and service of Wood-Mizer sawmill, woodworking and firewood processing products to customers. Bridge work on Coopermill Road

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Engineer’s Office has announced Coopermill Road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 29 for bridge approach repairs from Wilkins Road to Perine Road.

Summer button sale

The Zane Trace Button Club will host the Buckeye State Button Society’s summer button sale from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11, at the Warther Museum in Dover. Admission is free. Lunch will be available for purchase. The event will include thousands of antique and vintage buttons for crafting and collecting. For more information, visit ohiobuttons.org.

Space Day at Glenn Museum

Space Days will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 13 for ages 9 to 10 and July 14 for ages 11 to 12 at the John and Annie Glenn Museum in New Concord. The theme is flight. Cost is $20 and includes a pizza lunch. Make reservations at information.maem@gamil.com or call 740-826-3305.

● Zane State College Board will meet at 5 p.m. June 29, in College Hall.

● Tri-Valley Local Schools Board will hold a special meeting at 7 a.m. June 29, at the administrative center, to approve updated appropriations and revenue, fund advances, employee adjusted step placement for salary purposes, updated cafeteria meal pricing, resignations and employment of staff.

● Franklin Local Schools Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 9, at the administrative center in Duncan Falls.
