The Summit County Fair is almost here, and residents from across the county can soon enjoy this year’s fairy tale-themed fair, as well as carnival rides, funnel cakes and live entertainment for the whole family.
Here’s what we know about this year’s fair, including when it begins, ticket costs and schedule of events:
When does the Summit County Fair start?
The fair begins July 22 and runs through July 27 at the Summit County Fairgrounds, located at 1050 North Ave. in Tallmadge.
Grounds open starting at noon throughout the week and close at 11 p.m. every day except for Sunday, when grounds close at 9 p.m. Rides close each day from 4 to 5 p.m.
How much are Summit County Fair tickets?
General admission to the fair is $10 for those ages 9 and older. Admission for seniors 65 and older, as well as kids between the ages of 2 and 8, is $4. There are pre-sale tickets available for $7 until July 15. Tickets purchased online include additional fees.
All-day ride passes are $20 on July 22 and 23, and $25 from July 25-27. All-day ride passes on July 24 are $15 until 4 p.m. when the cost will rise to $20 for the passes.
All-week ride passes are $100.
What is the Summit County Fair theme this year?
This year’s theme for the county fair is “Once Upon a Fairytale,” and the fair will include such events as princess races, magical pirates and mermaids show in the arena complex and a princess pajama party.
What is the Summit County Fair schedule?
The complete schedule of events for the six-day-long fair, which includes magic shows, a pet parade, a demolition derby, a youth soccer clinic and karaoke, can be found at summitfair.com/schedule/.
