Fisher Catholic 35, Tuscarawas Central Catholic 8: The Irish went on the road and came away with a nonconference win to improve to 2-0.
Fisher Catholic’s defense held the Saints to less than 100 yards rushing and less than 100 passing and had three interceptions, returning two for touchdowns. Austin Brown returned one 59 yards, and Leo Hampshire returned another 52 yards. Joey Ellis and the other interception.
Offensively, Sam Tencza scored once, Landon Huffer once, and Luke Cairns once on a pass from James Wilkinson.
Trimble 36, Berne Union 0: The Rockets were limited to just 145 total yards in their nonconference loss to the Tomcats.
Carson Kiger passed for 60 yards and Ashton O’Rourke caught three passes for 41 yards as the Rockets slipped to 1-1.
