Greater Canton high school baseball power poll rankings for May 11

As tournament time approaches, let’s take the temperature of Stark County-area high school baseball. 

We’ll do it via a power poll, the third one this season for Greater Canton. For the previous poll, click here.

The poll is split into two groups: bigger schools for Divisions I, II and III, and smaller schools for Divisions IV, V, VI and VII. The top three spots in the DI-III poll remain the same, while some juggling happened in the DIV-VII poll.

Stark County-area high school baseball power poll for May 11 

BIG SCHOOLS (Divisions I, II, III) 

1, North Canton Hoover (16-3) 

2, Jackson (11-8) 

3, GlenOak (14-6) 

4, Lake (13-5) 

5, Louisville (11-7) 

Keep an eye on: Alliance (13-6-1), Massillon (10-7-1), McKinley (11-9).

SMALLER SCHOOLS (Divisions IV, V, VI, VII) 

1, Canton Central Catholic (15-3-1) 

2, Lake Center Christian (14-4-1) 

3, Tuslaw (15-6) 

4, Marlington (12-6) 

5, Carrollton (14-9) 

Keep an eye on: East Canton (10-9), Minerva (11-11), Sandy Valley (13-6).
