A Dayton, Ohio, hit the market for $149,000, and Godzilla and King Kong may or may not come with it.
Here’s what to know about the monster‑themed listing that takes Zillow Gone Wild to a whole new level.
Godzilla and King Kong make appearances in Dayton home listing
Images in the listing show classic movie monsters Godzilla and King Kong (or is it the “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” villain Skar King?) around the property at 835 Lorain Ave., but they aren’t just fighting. Instead, AI‑generated images depict the two coexisting, watching television on the couch and even sharing a candlelit dinner – a far cry from the tense feud moviegoers are used to.
“The refreshed bathroom is the perfect retreat to unwind after a long day of breathing fire,” the listing reads, cheekily calling the home a “monster of a deal.” It later adds the disclaimer that some photos are “virtually staged.”
From showering to reading bedtime stories, the movie monsters have seemingly learned to cohabitate in the Dayton home, at least for now.
Six photos include Godzilla and King Kong tackling mundane tasks. In one kitchen image, they both don aprons reading “kiss the cook” as they prepare a meal at the stove. Another depicts them sharing bunk beds while reading stories.
The 1,264‑square‑foot, agent‑owned home has three bedrooms and one bathroom, according to the listing. It adds that the property sits just a few minutes, “or a few giant steps,” from major highways and downtown Dayton.
The home is listed by Rachel Gannon of Local Roots Realty.
