The upgrades are part of a $1 billion plan to improve its worldwide network of factories and supply chain facilities, including another $45 million to be invested in facilities elsewhere in Ohio.

The White House cited GE Aerospace’s investment plans as well as those of Whirlpool, Stellantis and Amgen as evidence Ohio’s economy and business climate were thriving under President Trump as he visited Greater Cincinnati on March 11.

“Numerous companies are investing millions of dollars into projects in Ohio which will generate hundreds of jobs,” the White House said.

Investment similar to last year’s

Manufacturers continuously invest to maintain, upgrade, expand and improve operations through their annual spending plans in equipment and facilities.

GE Aerospace, based in the Cincinnati suburb of Evendale, has highlighted and disclosed such expenditures locally since the breakup of former General Electric in 2024 transformed it into a standalone company based here.

Last year, the company announced an $113 million investment in local facilities in 2025. The company disclosed its local spending plan in a March 9 announcement.

“These investments are about more than equipment—they’re about people. They keep opportunity growing in Cincinnati and across Ohio, and they strengthen our ability to deliver for customers today while building what comes next,” said Dan Waugh, a vice president at GE Aerospace in Cincinnati, in a statement.
