ZANESVILLE − There’s an abundance of fall activities and events in and around Muskingum County. Here’s a look at some that may interest you.
September
● McDonald’s Greenhouse and Corn Maze offers children’s games and rides as well as a petting zoo, corn maze and pumpkin patch daily thoughout the month, at 3220 Adamsville Road in Zanesville. Admission is $10. Hours vary to make sure to check their calendar.
● Concrete Pumpking Craft Class for adults is at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 and a children’s class will take place at 2 p.m. Sept. 21, at Killing Tree Winery, 16688 County Road 4 in Dresden. Cost is $35 and materials are provided.
● Paint Your Own Stoneware event is 9 a. m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 20, at Hartstone Ohio Stoneware Factory, 1719 Deadborn St. in Zanesville. More than 50 pieces of stoneware to choose from with prices starting at $10. Classes held every Saturday through Dec. 27.
● Facility Recital with Austin Spillman and Zephyr Chamber Winds at 3 p.m. Sept. 20, at Brown Chapel on the campus of Muskingum University in New Concord.
● The Backwoods Fest is Sept. 19-20, at 8572 High Point Road in Thornville, with hundreds of craft and art vendors, bluegrass music and more than 30 types of food. Admission is $12 and free for children 10 and under.
● Witch, Please kayaking event is 9 a.m. Sept. 20, with participants meeting by the canal boat at Lake Park in Coshocton. Wear witchy attire for a ride down the canal. A broomstick bouquet craft follows at 10 a.m. with food, drinks, and tarot readings at 11 a.m.
● Cambridge Main Street Fall Festival is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 20, at 123 Southgate Parkway in Cambridge. Activities include live music, children’s activities, art exhibits, and craft food vendors.
● All Things Rhino Tours will be held at various times Sept. 20-21, at The Wilds, 14000 International Road, Cumberland, in celebration of World Rhino Day.
● Old Washington Fall Festival is Sept. 20-22, in Guernsey County. Activities include food and craft vendors, entertainment, hayrides, Guernsey County K9 demonstration and pumpkin show.
● Wine Your Way Out and Beer Maze will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 20 and 27 at Coshocton KOA Holiday Campground, 24688 County Road 10, Coshocton. There will be a selection of wine and beer, live music, and food trucks available.
● Mototown Magic featuring The Shades of Blue concert is 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26, at Secrest Auditorium. Tickets start at $50.50.
● Fall Fly-In and Car Show will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 27, at the Zanesville Municipal Airport.
● Zanesville City Half Marathon and 5K is Sept. 27, in downtown Zanesville. The half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K at 7:40 a.m.
● Coshocton County Fair is Sept. 26 to Oct. 2, at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds, 707 Kenilworth Ave.
● Crafty Tuesday allows participants to paint their own ghosts and pumpkins from 5:30 to 7:30, at 2 W. Main St. in New Concord. Cost is $20 individually or paint both for $35.
October
● Ghosts tours will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday during October, in Downtown Zanesville. Customed tour guides will take participants through the city’s most mysterious sites. Cost is $15.

● Gallery Open House will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 3, at Yan Sun Art Museum & Gallery, 604 Main St. in Downtown Zanesville.
● Artistic Apparitions will include works by more than 30 juried artists during the First Firday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 3, at Elk’s Eye Art Market, 22 S. Fourth St. in downtown Zanesville.
● Paul Bunyan Show is Oct. 3-5, at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds in Old Washington. Activities include lumberjack competitions, entertainment, forestry equipment demonstrations, loader competitions, informative educational sessions and chainsaw safety workshops.
● Painting Class with Professor Yan Sun will be offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 4, at the Yan Sun Art Museum & Gallery, 604 Main St. in Downtown Zanesville.
● Theatre: First Year Show presented by the theatre department of Muskingum University, during homecoming weekend at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and 2 p.m. Oct. 12, in Caldwell Hall’s Thompson Theatre at Muskingum University in New Concord.
● Fall Safari at The Wilds is 4 to 9 p.m. Oct. 17, at The Wilds 14000 International Road, Cumberland. The excusive event for guests 21 and older offers a custom safari tour, gourmet food, drinks, and live music.
● Country Crossroads Education of Yesterday will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18-19, at 36885 Cass Irish Ridge Road in Dresden, with antique tractors, field demonstrations, train rides and food vendors.
● Cambridge Gun Show, Oct. 18-19, at Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center, 7033 John Glenn Highway.
● McPeek’s Mighty Maze will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 and Nov. 1, at Coshocton KOA Holiday Campground, 24688 County Road 10, Coshocton, with a giant corn The maze theme is Bigfoot. There will be sand digging, gem mining, tie-dying, corn box, mighty rollers, jump pad, duck races, wagon ride, barrel train ride, tube slide, ball pit and concessions.
● Crowtown Throwdown disc golf tournament will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11, at Eagle Ridge Disc Golf Course, 23253 Ohio 83, Coshocton. There will be two rounds with a shotgun start and various divisions. Register online.
● Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily Oct. 17 to 18 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 19, in Roscoe Village, Coshocton. There will be homemade apple butter, live music, crafts, children’s activities, food vendors, and tours of the recreation of the canal era town.
● Harvest Arts and Crafts Fair is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 18, at the Historic Prospect Place Estate, 12150 Main St., Trinway.
● Our Town Coshocton will hold a Halloween pub crawl at 4 p.m. Oct. 31, with stops in Downtown Coshocton and Roscoe Village.
