CANTON – The future water park at the Hall of Fame Village now has exterior waterslide pieces that are visible from Interstate 77.
The now-private company highlighted the waterslide installation and interior wave pool work in recent photos posted on Facebook. The “waterpark Wednesday” posts have shared progress and facts about Gameday Bay since early March.
“Piece by piece, we’re building the fun,” the company wrote.
A Hall of Village representative did not return messages seeking comment.
The Village, a football-themed development surrounding the Pro Football Hall of Fame, began building the water park in late 2022, but work stalled along with funding in 2024. The Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Co. went private at the start of this year and has since resumed work.
The 140,000-square-foot water park will have 90,000 square feet of wet space and water features that include a swim-up bar, wave pool and lazy river. It’s expected to be complete in the spring of 2027.
