Known for her focused and straight-forward approach and her willingness to step in and help wherever needed, Linda was the recipient of Fairfield Homes’ Community Builder Award in 2022, according to a news release.

The Community Builder Award, which was created to encourage employees to increase engagement, participation and awareness to “Build Community” in both their personal and professional lives, is given to one Fairfield Homes employee each year at their annual conference along with a monetary gift.

“I thought about using the money for a vacation, but I never planned the vacation,” said Linda Bullock, manager at Nelsonville Homes. “It occurred to me that what my heart really wanted was to honor my late husband and donate those funds to the fire department where he chose to give of his time and talents as a volunteer. It just felt like the right way for me to honor our mutual desire to give back to our community.”

“At Fairfield Homes, we are committed to building community. We believe we have a responsibility to improve the communities where we live, work, and raise our families,” said Jennifer Gorsuch Walters, President of Fairfield Homes, Inc. “Linda embodies the spirit of our Community Builder Award, which is witnessed not just in her work serving the residents of Nelsonville Homes, but also in her selfless desire to give back to her community through a donation to the fire department. I am humbled to know and work with her.
