Last year, the Cleveland Browns’ offense was unwatchable at times, and as a result, general manager Andrew Berry used a ton of assets on that side of the ball. They began rebuilding the offensive line in free agency and then spent eight of their ten draft picks on offensive players, including two wide receivers with different skillsets to help build a more well-rounded wide receiver room.
The Browns’ defense was great last season, and they added a few playmakers as well, and should be one of the top units again in 2026 under new defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg. ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi made a bold prediction for the Browns’ late four-game homestand in 2026.
“The Browns will go undefeated in their four-game homestand to get back into the AFC playoff hunt. Between Cleveland’s unsettled quarterback situation and as many as five new starting offensive linemen, it could be a bumpy start for an offense that will have to go on the road several times in the season’s first half. The offense, though, should get its footing a bit after their Week 11 bye and will rack up some wins at home with an elite defense.”
