Cincinnati Enquirer readers showed up to choose the next Student of the Week for the period ending April 17.
Each week, these ballots are posted at 7 a.m. on Mondays. Like the popular athlete of the week ballots, voters may cast a ballot once an hour until the 2 p.m. deadline on Fridays.

School representatives such as teachers, counselors, club advisers, communication staff and principals can nominate these high school students by 5 p.m. on Thursdays.
Here is this week’s winner.
Rosmery San Juan Barrita, Colerain High School
Rosmery San Juan Barrita, a student at Colerain High School, is exceptional and a true leader in the classroom. She has a big heart and helps all who need it in class, often taking the initiative to explain concepts to students who need it.
She has only been in the U.S. for a few years but is excelling in learning the English language and is not too shy to discuss topics with her teacher in English about U.S. History or ESL. She recently finished online schooling in Mexico that she was taking in tandem with her classes here in Colerain.
She strives to always improve, and her smile melts the hearts of all around her. You will not find a more dedicated or sweet student.
