A Delaware County man is facing more than a half dozen charges in connection with creating and soliciting sexual material involving a minor.
A grand jury on July 23 indicted Tyler Nguyen, 21, of Lewis Center, on eight counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, according to Delaware County Common Pleas Court records.
Four of the counts, all second-degree felonies, allege Nguyen created material depicting a minor or impaired person engaged in sexual activity. The remaining four counts accuse Nguyen of knowingly receiving or soliciting material showing a minor or impaired person participating in sexual conduct. Court filings show that Nguyen allegedly committed the offenses between Dec. 30, 2025, and March 24 this year.
Nguyen was arrested July 24 and booked into the Delaware County jail, according to jail records. He is being held there in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Under his bond conditions, he is required to be fingerprinted and to provide a DNA sample, is not allowed to leave Ohio, and is subject to GPS monitoring, among other requirements.
Calber Carson III, Nguyen’s attorney, declined to comment and said he was still examining the charges against Nguyen.
Nguyen was arraigned July 29 in front of Common Pleas Court Judge Marianne Hemmeter. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 28, according to court filings.
