According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, the Greater Cincinnati area is expected to experience mostly dry weather Thursday, July 3, through Friday, July 4. However, an isolated storm cannot be ruled out, but the probability is low.
Above-average temperatures and dry conditions will continue through the weekend. Surface dew points will likely reach near 70 on Saturday, July 5, which limits the maximum heat index values to below 100.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms will return during the afternoon of Sunday, July 6, and will continue to build into the beginning of next week.
A combination of high temperatures and humidity on Sunday afternoon may allow the heat index to exceed 100 in a few locations. Temperatures will be a bit more moderate starting Monday, June 7.
