NORTH CANTON ‒ Chick-fil-A will open its fifth Stark County location on Oct. 2 in North Canton, employing 120 people.
Doors open at 6:30 a.m. at 1535 N. Main St.
To celebratre, guests dressed in cow attire or wearing a cow-spotted accessory can earn one free entree or kid’s meal in the drive-thru or inside the restaurant.
The free meal is limited to one person in cow attire, per day, while supplies last. No purchase is necssary.
The Atlanta-based fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches has four locations in Stark County – two in Jackson Township and one Massillon. The fourth spot in Alliance opened Sept. 25. Another is targeted for the former Fishers Foods site at Tuscarawas Street and Whipple Avenue NW in Canton.
Ry Adams, a native of Upper Sandusky, will own and operator the North Canton location. He and his wife have a newborn. The family looks to put roots down in North Canton.
“There’s a strong sense of community here, and that’s something I want to bring into the restaurant,” Adams said in a Sept. 25 news release. “I want the restaurant to be a go-to spot where familiar faces, good food and genuin hospitality naturally come together.”
Adams started with Chick-fil-A in 2022 in Findlay. He later joined the company’s leadership development program, traveling the country to gain hands-on experience in restaurant operations.
The news release said Adams will donate $25,000 from Chick-fil-A to local hunger reflief efforts of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, to celebrate the new location.
He also is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. The program has helped to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
Hours of operation at North Canton will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
