CLEVELAND — Cavaliers All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell will miss his fourth consecutive game on Tuesday, March 3, when the Cavs (38-24) host the Detroit Pistons (45-14).
Mitchell is dealing with a right groin strain. Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson has said he doesn’t believe it will be a long-term issue for Mitchell, an All-NBA selection last year.

Still, the Cavs ruled out seven-time All-Star Mitchell again on their March 2 injury report. He has been hindered by groin and calf issues in previous seasons.
Cavs vs. Pistons injury report
In addition to Mitchell, the Cavs ruled out small forward Max Strus (offseason foot surgery) and listed forward Dean Wade (right ankle sprain) as questionable to face the Pistons.
The Pistons did not list any players with injuries.
The Cavs will enter the match up fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Pistons have the best record in the East. On Feb. 27, they beat the visiting Cavs 122-119 in overtime.
Donovan Mitchell stats
Mitchell is averaging 28.5 points on 48.3% shooting from the field (36.9% on 3-pointers), 4.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists this season.
The 29-year-old Mitchell has played 55 games and needs to appear in at least 10 more during the regular season to be eligible for All-NBA honors. The Cavs have 20 games left before the playoffs.
Cavs next game
The Cavs and Pistons are scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. March 3 at Rocket Arena.
