CHICAGO ― Shedeur Sanders started the second half of the Browns’ preseason opener Saturday, Aug. 15, against the Chicago Bears.
The second-year quarterback was always expected to follow Deshaun Watson in the rotation for this game. It was just a matter of when he would replace Watson.
Watson played the entire first half. That’s expected to be the plan for Sanders for the second preseason game against the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 22.
