Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Amarius Mims suffered an apparent leg injury during the fourth quarter of the team’s NFL Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Mims hobbled around after one play, then went to the sideline in obvious pain.
Cody Ford replaced Mims at tackle.
Mims, the Bengals’ first-round pick from Georgia in the 2024 NFL draft, was attended to on the sideline during the second quarter of the team’s Week 2 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, moments after Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left the game with a turf-toe injury.
Ford replaced Mims at right tackle when Mims went to the locker room in Week 2. Mims returned to the game later in the first half.
Mims wasn’t in uniform for the team’s evening practice at Paycor Stadium during training camp August 2. Mims also wasn’t in uniform July 31 at the IEL Indoor Practice Facility.
Mims had a wrap on his right hand during some training-camp practices.
In 2024, Mims, had a broken hand and was believed to be an “emergency” option at right tackle when he entered during the third quarter of an NFL Week 18 win against Pittsburgh as Ford was evaluated in the blue medical tent for a chest injury.
Mims, who played in 15 games as a rookie, suffered the right hand injury during the second quarter of an NFL Week 17 win against Denver at Paycor Stadium. Mims played with a club on his injured hand.
Mims suffered a left ankle injury during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 16 win against Cleveland.
Mims was injured during the first quarter of the Bengals’ Week 10 loss to Baltimore.
Mims was carted off the field with a left ankle injury during the Bengals’ Week 5 loss to Baltimore, but returned later in the game.
