Glass in Flight Exhibit at Kingwood Center, through Sept. 7, Kingwood Center Gardens, 50 N. Trimble Road, Mansfield. The exhibit is free with paid admission to the gardens. The exhibit features sculptures celebrating pollinators and the beauty of the natural world; some are never-before-seen pieces, including a new monarch butterfly and bats with six-foot wingspans. Over 40 stunning sculptures will create arches and groupings or be showcased as individual pieces. Artist Alex Heveri, a Tucson, Arizona sculptor, has been creating large-scale steel and luminousDalle de verre glass sculptures for over 30 years. Wayne County Stitchers Sewing Fest, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, The Church of the Cross, 5100 Cleveland Road, Wooster. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with classes beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m., with raffle items and door prizes. Admission is $10.
