ALLIANCE ‒ Limited space will be available for today’s first meeting of the city’s new Housing Oversight Board, city officials said.
The meeting is at 2 p.m. in the City Administration Building at 504 E. Main St., in a conference room on the second floor.
In an email, officials said in-person attendance has been limited to the first 40 citizens, on a first-come, first-served basis due to capacity issues.
However, there will be a virtual option, via Zoom, available to view the session, after capacity has been reached. No one else will be admitted into the room.
City Council established the new board on April 21 after updating rental regulations. The issue of rental properties has been a hot topic for over a year.

In the email, city officials said they received an overwhelming response from people in the community who want to attend the board session.
They noted this meeting is not an open forum for the public to speak or for the board members to respond to questions or statements.
