CHURCH BREAKFAST – Damascus Methodist Church and Middle Sandy Evangelical Presbyterian Church plan their monthly breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. July 19 at the Damascus church. Breakfast is by donation only, and money raised goes to the Mission Trip Team, which helps sponsor a yearly, weeklong trip to serve in construction. Breakfast is the third Saturday of every month at the Damascus church, 700 Valley Road.
ALLIANCE CIVIL SERVICE – City of Alliance’s Civil Service Commission will meet at 4:30 p.m. July 9 in the City Administration Building, 504 E. Main St., in the second-floor conference room. Among items to be discussed are an email from Alliance Safety Service Director Mike Dreger with a request to amend the rules; and to certify lieutenant promotional exam. The board will recess into executive session to grade the Alliance Police Department lieutenant promotional exam.
