Cuyahoga Falls’ splash pads and Brookledge Golf Course remain open.

The Community Band Concert scheduled for 7 p.m. in Cuyahoga Falls was moved from Oak Park to inside the Quirk Cultural Center, said Morgan Ferrell, the city’s director of the neighborhood excellence, communications and community outreach department.

Festa Italiana in Cuyahoga Falls will still take place Friday through Sunday.

Why is the air quality so bad?

The overall air quality in Northeast Ohio is expected to be the worst in two years, with warm, humid temperatures in the 90s and the thick layer of wildfire smoke.

Authorities said to avoid going outside if possible Thursday and Friday.
