The weekend forecast is looking rather soggy in Greater Akron.
There’s a risk of showers on Friday.
But the National Weather Service warns the showers and thunderstorms will become more common across the region on Saturday.
The culprit is a slow-moving storm system that will make its way across the region Saturday night into Sunday.
Heavy rain is possible along with some localized flooding where the showers and storms persist.
The heaviest rain is expected to arrive by Saturday night and stick around through Sunday morning.
As much as an inch of rain is possible in some spots.
The risk of showers hangs around through Wednesday.

The weather outlook for Greater Akron next week is wet and hot.
The National Weather Service says the long-range forecast for next week calls for above normal temperatures and chances of above normal precipitation.
The average high in Greater Akron at the start of August is around 84 degrees.
