UNION TWP. ‒ An 82-year-old Carrollton man was killed in a head-on collision Jan. 13 on County Road 54 in Carroll County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Frankie L. Bouslaugh was driving a 2009 Honda Fit northwest on the road near Township Road 136 at 5:47 p.m. when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southeast 2016 Ram driven by Christian D. Mullins, 21, of Weston, West Virginia, the patrol said.
The Fit spun off the road and into a ditch, while the Ram also went off the road and struck a guardrail, the patrol said.
Bouslaugh, who was not wearing his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner’s Office. Mullins and a passenger were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol is not suspected as a factor, the patrol said.
The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Carrollton Fire Department, Scio Fire and EMS, Rocky’s Towing, Rosenberry’s Towing and the Carroll County Road and Bridge Department.
