The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and Akron police are investigating the homicide of a 40-year-old man that occurred May 14.
Around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Akron police and EMS were called to the area of Marcy Street and Cole Avenue for reports of a shooting. When first responders got to the scene, they found the victim inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner’s office will provide an update once positive identification is made and an autopsy has been completed.
