Who’s running for Honeoye school board and what candidates say counts

Honeoye Central School District voters will decide Tuesday, May 19, to elect two new members to the district’s Board of Education.

Two candidates are running for the two vacant seats, each with a three-year term starting on July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2029. One of the candidates is an incumbent.

The May 19 vote will take place at the Honeoye School Auditorium, 8528 Main Street, Honeoye, through the Allens Hill Road entrance from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

What is the main issue facing your school district, and how would you seek to address it if elected? Via the district newsletter:

“I will continue to advocate for the concerns and needs of the staff while recognizing their invaluable experience and capabilities- our school cannot function without them. I will continue to fight for the rights and welfare of every student regardless of their situation, social status, or behavior.” Morgan said he will always “be committed to understanding and uniting the will of this community with the capabilities of our board to ensure every child in this district feels protected, valued, and prepared for their future beyond HCS.”
