We’re asking readers here in the Lower Hudson Valley each week a poll question about grocery stores.
One trend these days are store brand (private label) products.
Among stores that have their own are Costco, ShopRite, Trader Joe’s, Aldi, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, and Whole Foods. And undoubtedly others.
The Private Label Manufacturers Association said in a 2026 report that one of every four food and non-food grocery products bought is a brand supplied by a private label maker. In 2025, the PLMA said, sales of store brands reached $282.8 billion — a new record — across brick and mortar and online supermarkets, drug chains, and mass merchandisers.
Which brings us to this week’s query: Which grocery store/supermarket in the region do you think has the best store-brand (private label) products?

This poll will close Friday, March 27, at midnight.
