A street camera captured the heart pounding moment a man lost control of his speeding vehicle at the intersection of Mamaroneck Avenue and Main Street in White Plains on Tuesday, March 10.
In the video, the SUV hits a pedestrian island, just barely missing three people. The vehicle then goes airborne, sailing between other cars that are coming in the opposite direction on Mamaroneck Avenue before slamming into scaffolding and the building that houses Buffalo Wild wings.
The driver was removed from the vehicle conscious and alert. He was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
On Tuesday evening, workers from the scaffolding company could be seen at the crash site with scaffolding material to secure the four-story structure.
