The Varsity 845 girls softball players of the week polls are online for May 4-10. Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845 and nominations. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.
One athlete per school is allowed per week. A poll winner will be ineligible for the following week.
Madison Taggart of Monticello (large schools) and Harper Melay of Chester (small schools) won the polls conducted last week.
Go to RecordOnline.com/sports/high-school and vote as often as you like until Sunday, May 10, at 11 p.m. The winners will be announced each week on the @Varsity845 account on X/Twitter.

Isabella Brelesky, Monroe-Woodbury
She fanned nine for the win as the Crusaders beat Newburgh 4-2 on May 4.
Taylor Crumley, Monticello
She had a double and single as the Panthers lost to Cornwall 13-1 on May 4.
Kasey Garzione, Wallkill
She had a triple, three singles and three RBI as the Panthers beat Lourdes 10-2 on May 4.
Madelyn Krogslund, Washingtonville
She had two hits in both games as the Wizards dropped a pair to Valley Central on May 8.
Avery Ogden, Pine Bush
She had three hits and won a four-hitter, fanning nine, as the Bushmen beat Kingston 10-1 on May 4. On May 7, she won a two-hitter, fanning eight, in a 5-1 decision over Newburgh.
Makenzie Saracino, Kingston
She had two singles, a homer and five RBI as the Tigers beat Beacon 25-1 on May 5.
Emily Sharpe, Valley Central
She won a five-hitter, fanning four, as the Vikings beat Goshen 9-4 on May 5. On May 8, she fanned nine in a 12-0 win over Washingtonville, and two singles and a double in a 12-5 win over the Wizards.
Emily Smith, Minisink Valley
She won a one-hitter, fanning seven, as the Warriors beat Port Jervis 4-1 on May 7.
Molly Violetti, Cornwall
She won a two-hitter, fanning 12, as the Dragons beat Monticello 13-1 on May 4. She got the win in a 13-0 win over Chester on May 5. On May 8, she had a double, two RBI and fanned four for the win in an 8-5 decision over Port Jervis.
Samantha Williams, Newburgh
She had a single, triple and fanned three for the win as the Goldbacks beat Red Hook 11-4 on May 8.

She fanned 16 as the Bears lost to Eldred 5-1 on May 5.
Giada Donato, Eldred
She won a one-hitter, fanning 11, as the Yellowjackets beat Liberty 15-1 on May 4. The next day, she won a two-hitter, fanning 14, in a 5-1 win over Tri-Valley.
Evelyn Gates, New Paltz
She had a single and solo homer as the Huguenots lost to Red Hook 9-5 on May 4.
Sam Maleck, Marlboro
She had two hits, an RBI and won a two-hitter, fanning 12, as the Dukes beat Rondout Valley 5-1 on May 4. On May 8, she had a single and fanned 10 for the win in a 1-0 decision over New Paltz.
Savanna Mioglionico, Port Jervis
She had two singles and two RBI as the Raiders lost to Cornwall 8-5 on May 8.
Paige Niles, Chester
She homered as the Hambletonians beat O’Neill 20-5 on May 4.
Sofia Ortiz, Burke Catholic
She won a five-hitter, fanning 13, as the Eagles nipped Chapel Field 5-4 on May 4.
Sierra Spinelli, Highland
She had a single, two homers and five RBI as the Huskies beat Spackenkill 10-9 on May 5.
Emma Stanford, Saugerties
She had two singles and RBI as the Sawyers bowed to Chatham 8-4 on May 5.
Claire Van Pelt, James I. O’Neill
She had a single, double and triple in the Raiders’ 18-8 loss to Chapel Field on May 7.
Bella Warren, Rondout Valley
She had a walk-off single, another single and three-run homer, adding the win in the circle, as the Ganders beat New Paltz 8-7 on May 5.
Chloe Williams, S.S. Seward
She had two hits and four RBI as the Spartans beat Liberty 25-6 on May 5.
Arianna Wilson, Liberty
She had a triple and two RBI as the Redhawks bowed to Seward 25-6 on May 5.
Meghan Winter, Chapel Field
She had two hits and added 11 strikeouts as the Lions fell to Burke 5-4 on May 4.On May 7, she fanned five for the win in an 18-8 decision over O’Neill.
