Village of Florida man dies in Chester motorcycle crash

A Village of Florida man died May 30 in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Chester.

According to Town of Chester police, officers responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Laroe Road between Gibson Hill Road and Bull Mill Road just before 8 p.m. on May 30.

When officers arrived, they located a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that had left the roadway.

The operator of the motorcycle, Patrick Grabowski, 35, of Florida, was found nearby and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said an investigation revealed that Grabowski was northbound on Laroe Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Chester Fire Department, Empress Emergency Medical Services and state police.
