Rochester Tiki Week will return for its third annual iteration from Aug. 24 to 30.
Ten local bars will offer a specialty menu with their best and most ingenious tiki creations. Participating bars will include Jack’s Extra Fancy, Ziggy’s, Martine, Bar Bad Ending, Marge’s Lakeside Inn, Aqua Vitae, Poké Sushi, The Daily Refresher, Bevy and Pourin’ Joy.
“Tiki Week allows the bars to try something new and be a part of the tiki community,” said Eric Rozestraten, founder of Rochester Tiki Week and co-owner of Jack’s Extra Fancy and Easy Sailor. “It also brings tiki lovers here from all over the northeast to experience one of the best tiki and rum communities in the country.”
Standout events include a pop-up bar takeover with award-winning New York City tiki bar Paradise Lost at Easy Sailor on Wednesday, Aug. 26. The week will culminate with the Sundown Swizzle Contest at Marge’s Lakeside Inn on Sunday, Aug. 30.
For a fun incentive, passport coasters will be available at all participating bars; the first 150 tiki explorers to enjoy a cocktail at each locale and get their official stamps will receive tiki swag redeemable at Easy Sailor, 622 Park Ave.
