Jaxson Dart sees encouraging signs in the New York Giants’ offense as training camp continues in West Virginia.
The quarterback told reporters on Thursday that the group is taking steps each day. While some plays are still new and require discussion on the field, the offense often has the chance to address those issues the following practice. Dart pointed to the post-session communication as a particularly strong development. Players can identify adjustments and implement them the next day, a process he finds encouraging.
“Obviously, there’s things that you go out there, and maybe it’s our first time running something or whatever, and you kind of have things you talk through. But a lot of times we have the opportunity the next day to have a chance to fix it and go at it again,” Dart said. “So, I think the really good thing that I’m seeing right now with the offense is our communication after practices being able to fix adjustments for the next day, and that’s really encouraging to see. And I think that if we just continue to do this process, we’ll be in a good spot.”
That daily focus is essential because the installation is not complete. Dart made clear he does not control the schedule of what gets installed. More plays still need to be added even as a solid amount of the playbook is already in place. The volume remains high, typical of an NFL training camp, and demands constant attention.
“You’re getting a big install each and every day,” he said. “So, you just continue to learn, continue to get reps at things and have a lot of really valuable communication.”
The combination of ongoing installs and consistent post-practice dialogue is shaping the offense’s early progress. Dart emphasized the need to stay locked in every day as the Giants work through the remaining material. The ability to correct mistakes quickly and maintain focus amid the heavy daily workload has given him confidence in the direction of the unit.
As camp winds toward its final stretch in West Virginia, the emphasis remains on process. Dart believes the communication habits forming now will serve the offense well once the season arrives, provided the group continues refining its approach with each practice.
