'Summer House' reunion audio leaked, Bravo finds culprit

The ongoing ‘Summer House’ drama that rocked the Bravoverse has turned into a fully fledged New York City whodunnit mystery.

Andy Cohen, a Bravo executive producer and the host of Watch What Happens Live, hosted the highly anticipated ‘Summer House’ reunion that filmed last week amid the cast’s romance scandal. After filming wrapped on Thursday, April 23, Cohen took to his Instagram stories to say that of the “200 reunions at least” he has hosted, the ‘Summer House’ reunion was “one of the most intense ones we’ve ever shot.”

“This was a lot. This was a lot. It was very intense, you guys,” Cohen said on his Instagram stories. “And every question was asked.”

What he didn’t know then was that within the next 24 hours, an unauthorized audio clip from the reunion taping would be leaked online, prompting Bravo to launch an investigation to find the source.

Here is everything you need to know about the never-ending ‘Summer House’ scandal, Bravo’s investigation, the upcoming reunion and how to watch tonight’s episode.

What is the ‘Summer House’ scandal?

To make a long story short, the Bravo scandal surrounds four castmates on the New York City-based show ‘Summer House,’ which follows a group of friends sharing a house in the Hamptons over the summer:

In March, Batula and Wilson confirmed the months-long rumors of their romantic relationship that were circulating online on their Instagram stories. The issue many fans of the show and fellow castmates have with this new relationship is friendship betrayal, considering that Batula is now dating one of her close friend’s exs.

Season 10 of ‘Summer House,’ which is currently airing every Tuesday, has captured the Batula and Cooke’s final turbulent season together as a couple. It has also shown Miller’s support for her friend Batula as she navigates her rocky relationship, and Wilson’s pursuit of rekindling his romance with Miller.

“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man,” Miller said in a Glamour interview. “But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”

‘Summer House’ reunion leak, Bravo launches investigation

On Friday, April 24, an audio clip from the ‘Summer House’ reunion was leaked and circulated online like wildfire.

Cohen replied to a fan on Threads early Friday morning, who attempted to keep him from learning about the breach.

“On my way to eye surgery and just reading about it. People laid their souls out emotionally for ten hours yesterday and it’s disgusting and illegal for someone to leak or distribute this,” Cohen wrote. “It’s disrespectful to the work and tears the cast put in yesterday. Let the season play out. You will see it all in due time.”

Bravo issued a statement on Instagram, calling the leak “a serious breach of trust and a clear lack of respect for the cast, crew, and the integrity of the production process.”

The network continued, “We take this matter very seriously and have launched a full investigation and we will take appropriate action based on our findings.”

Investigation and Bravo fan solve the mystery

On Monday, Bravo posted to threads stating that the source of the leaked audio was someone in the show’s production- NOT someone in the cast, as many fans speculated online.

“An investigation into the recent leak of the Summer House reunion audio has concluded that the audio was an unauthorized recording and distributed by an individual involved in the production of the reunion,” the statement reads. “As a result of the findings, appropriate action has been taken. There is no evidence that any member of the cast was involved in the recording of the audio.”

Since the initial audio leak last week, two more audio clips have found their way online, though it is not clear whether or not all three recordings came from the same source.

“We are aware that there is additional improperly obtained audio circulating and we caution all parties and platforms to refrain from posting, sharing or amplifying any unauthorized audio,” the network continued.

On Monday’s episode of Cohen’s SiriusXM radio talk show, Radio Andy, Cohen told his listeners that an unlikely Bravo sleuth solved the mystery alongside Bravo’s investigators.

“Let me say that though this team of investigators were on it,” Cohen said on the April 27 episode of Radio Andy. “A Bravo fan, who you’re going to hear more about, cracked the case.”

The fan, he said, “delivered crucial information” that helped find the leak’s source. Many Bravo fans online have been speculating on who this mysterious fan is, but Cohen said we will find out more at a later date.
