Rochester museum tours open vaults, offers behind-the-scenes looks

The Rochester Museum and Science Center will offer themed tours of its collections vaults from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25.

Adults 18 and older may choose between two tours of some of RMSC’s 1.2 million-plus items:

A third tour, Rochester Revealed: Exploring local inventions & innovators, is sold out.

People will meet in the lobby for the tours. Expert collections staff members will guide attendees through a public exhibit and one of the museum’s eight collections vaults. At the end, the collections staff will hold a question-and-answer session.

Tickets for non-members cost $30. Advance registration is required; no tickets will be sold at the door. For more information or to buy tickets, go to https://rmsc.org/events/behind-the-scenes-tours/#upcomingtours.

The museum is at 657 East Ave. It will offer more behind-the-scenes tours Oct. 22.
