New York Giants outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux has found favor with the team’s coaching staff this offseason.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reports that Thibodeaux has made a strong impression on head coach John Harbaugh and his staff, and that they are quite impressed with the 25-year-old.
A source said Thibodeaux has impressed the new staff this offseason and is valued significantly higher than what the rest of the league offered.
Thibodeaux has been a frequent name in trade discussions throughout the offseason. His level of play has declined over the last two seasons, a downturn that has coincided with a series of injuries.
However, the Oregon product will get a fresh start under Harbaugh & Co., and early indications are positive.
The Giants have been active in the trade market this offseason, most notably sending defensive tackle Dexter Williams to the Cincinnati Bengals in a deal that included the No. 10 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. While New York may still look to deal Thibodeaux around the deadline, the strong endorsement he has received from the coaching staff could result in a higher return than previously anticipated.
