The Charles Schwab Challenge gets underway as the PGA Tour’s final stop in Texas for the 2026 season. Some big names are playing in their first action since the PGA Championship.
Three of the top five at Aronimink will be back on the course at Colonial: Alex Smalley, who tied for second, and fourth-place finishers Ludvig Åberg and Justin Thomas. Max Greyserman and Stephan Jaeger, who carded top-20 scores, are in the field as well.
Akshay Bhatia is looking to return to his earlier form after missing the cut at the PGA Championship. Rickie Fowler is out to regain more recent excellence after notching three straight top-10s before the PGA. With the U.S. Open looming next month, J.J. Spaun is also out to recapture the magic that led him to his first major championship.
