The Buffalo Bills watched an All-Pro and Super Bowl champion wide receiver join their biggest AFC East rivals, the New England Patriots, earlier this week.
That stings, but were the Bills involved in falling short of making a trade of their own for Brown?
There was plenty of speculation insisting and fan clamoring for Buffalo to acquire Brown in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. That’s all it ever felt like, but according to a report, Brown had an open mind about the Bills.
According to the Rich Eisen Show, Buffalo was one of four NFL teams he would have accepted a trade to:
In exchange for Brown, the Patriots traded a 2028 first-round pick and 2026 fifth-rounder for him. Brown is a three time, second-team All-Pro, three time Pro Bower and Super Bowl LIX champ.
Is that a price the Bills were willing to match? Was Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane close to being involved in a deal at all? We’ll likely never know those answers.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 offseason.
