Reality TV star 'Daddy Dave' charged in upstate NY stalking case

A reality television personality known for his role on Discovery’s “Street Outlaws” has been charged in connection with an alleged stalking incident in Steuben County, New York.

David E. Comstock, known to fans as “Daddy Dave,” was charged with third-degree tampering and fourth-degree stalking, both misdemeanors, following an incident Tuesday, May 12, in Bath, police said.

Comstock has appeared as a race car driver on Discovery’s Street Outlaws since the show premiered in 2013.

Police say GPS device was placed on vehicle

According to the Bath Police Department, officers allege Comstock placed a GPS tracking device on a parked vehicle on Buell Street around 11:25 p.m.

Police said video footage captured a man approaching the vehicle and reaching underneath it.

Authorities allege that individual was Comstock.

Released after arraignment

Comstock, 52, of Mustang, Oklahoma, was arraigned and later released from custody, according to police.

Authorities said an order of protection was issued for the victim.

Additional details reported

According to entertainment outlet TMZ, the owner of the vehicle contacted police and provided Ring camera footage that allegedly captured Comstock placing the device.
