Pittsford, Victor lead strong Section showing in NYS lacrosse rankings

While Section V’s Class B division looks stacked again this spring, Pittsford and Victor look to be on a collision course.

The two teams opened as the second- and third-ranked teams in their classification, in the first New York state boys lacrosse rankings of Spring 2026.

There are five Class B teams listed from Section V, and 11 teams overall. Pittsford and Geneva are the only local teams without a loss so far.

Here’s this week’s list (the win-loss records are at the time of the ranking, through Sunday, April 12):

Section V teams in NYS rankings for April 14

Class A

No. 16: Penfield (3-3)

No. 24: McQuaid (2-2)

Honorable mentions: Fairport (2-3)

Class B

No. 2: Pittsford (7-0)

No. 3: Victor (4-1)

No. 11: Webster Thomas (4-2)

No. 17: Irondequoit (4-2)

No. 21: Canandaigua (1-3)

Honorable mentions: Brighton (4-1), Hilton (4-1), Spencerport (4-1)

Class C

No. 14: Honeoye Falls-Lima (3-1)

No. 19: Geneva (2-0)

Honorable mentions: N/A

Class D

No. 3: Penn Yan (3-2)

No. 9: Palmyra-Macedon (3-1)

Honorable mentions: Marcus Whitman (1-0)
