While investigating this report a routine records check was made and police said it was determined that Tyrone Bailey, the person making the stolen vehicle report, had an active and extraditable arrest warrant issued by the Bradford Police Department in Bradford City, Pennsylvania stemming from a driving while intoxicated incident.

New Hartford police made contact with the Bradford Pennsylvania Police Department, who confirmed the warrant and provided the necessary supporting documentation. Based on this information, officers took Bailey into custody at his residence.

The investigation into the stolen vehicle is ongoing.

Bailey was taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to the New Hartford Police Department where he was processed on the warrant.

Following booking procedures, he was transported to Oneida County Centralized Arraignment Part Court for arraignment after which he was ordered held in The Oneida County Jail.

The New Hartford Police Department continues to work in coordination with the Bradford Pennsylvania Police Department regarding the matter.
