The Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes has a new home and a packed schedule for the 2025-26 concert season.

The relocation marked “a new chapter in OSFL’s continued growth and commitment to the region’s cultural vitality,” the organization said, adding that the new space will boost the OSFL’s ability to serve the community, support musicians and artists, and plan meaningful programming throughout the Southern Finger Lakes region.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the community into our new home,” said Cari Stage, OSFL Board President. “This move represents not only physical growth, but our continued investment in expanding access to live orchestral music and arts education throughout the region.”

Here’s what OSFL has on the schedule in the coming weeks and months.

‘Baroque Soirée’ at Elmira’s Hill Top Inn Sept. 28

OSFL is planning a “Baroque Soirée” dinner-concert fundraiser Sunday, Sept. 28 at 4:15 p.m. hosted by the Hill Top Inn at 171 Jerusalem Hill Rd. in Elmira.

Maestro Toshiyuki Shimada will conduct the talented musicians of the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes. Guests will also dine on a buffet dinner and be the first to hear about the orchestra’s newest artistic initiative.

“The Baroque Soirée is the perfect way to kick off our season, offering an evening where music, conversation, and philanthropy come together in such a meaningful way,” said Stage. “I’m thrilled for our patrons to see not only the brilliance of our musicians but also the bold vision we’re setting for the future.”

The event is $140 per person or reserve a table for eight for $1,000. RSVPs must be made by Sunday, Sept. 21. For more information, visit OSFL.org or contact Allyssa Birth at allyssa@OSFL.org or 607-936-2873.

“This year, we’re introducing a new artistic initiative that we believe will deepen our connection to audiences and expand the ways the orchestra serves and gives back to this community,” said Craig Evans, OSFL’s Principal Second Violinist. “It’s something we’ve been dreaming about and planning carefully for quite some time. This special evening will be the first chance for our supporters to hear about it and to play a role in making it a reality.”

“This lineup reflects our mission to honor the classics while embracing innovative and diverse works that inspire and connect with audiences,” said Stage. “With a core focus on inspiring the next generation of music lovers, we’re also proud to offer free admittance for children under 18 for every performance we offer.”
