Four New York Little League teams head into the semifinals of the New York State tournament in search of a state title and a ticket to the Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament after four days of competitive games in West Nyack, New York.
The top team of each four-team pool –currently, Port Washington (2-0) and Mid-Island (2-0)– will advance to the elimination rounds on Wednesday, July 29. Game 1 will feature Pool A’s first-place team competing against Pool B’s second-place team at 5:30 p.m. Game 2 will feature Pool B’s first-place team competing against Pool A’s second-place team at 8:00 p.m.
Port Washington leads the tournament with the fewest runs allowed (3) after two games, followed by Mid-Island (4)–a key deciding factor if head-to-head results fail to crown a clear winner.
