A Nassau County man has claimed a $1 million prize from a New York Lottery scratch-off game, lottery officials announced this week.
Who won $1 million?
Joseph Armenti of Farmingdale won a $1 million second-prize award in the New York Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off game, according to lottery officials.
Armenti chose to receive the prize as a one-time lump-sum payment of $651,010. The New York Lottery announced the win on Tuesday, June 16.
Where was the winning ticket sold?
The winning ticket was purchased at Stew Leonard’s, located at 261 Airport Plaza in Farmingdale, according to the New York Lottery.
About the VIP Millions game
VIP Millions is a $30 scratch-off game with a top prize of $5 million.
According to lottery officials, two top prizes of $5 million and nine second-prize awards worth $1 million each remain available in the game.
