The New York Giants are scheduled to hold a wide receiver workout on Monday as they look to address depth concerns at the position ahead of the season. Free agents JuJu Smith-Schuster, Braxton Berrios, and Odell Beckham Jr. are expected to participate in the session.
The team faces notable roster challenges following Gunner Olszewski’s torn Achilles, which will sideline him for the season as a primary return specialist. Malik Nabers remains in recovery from a torn ACL, with his availability for Week 1 still uncertain, while Darius Slayton continues rehabilitating from sports hernia surgery.
These injuries have led the Giants to evaluate veteran options who can contribute in the receiving corps and on special teams.
Smith-Schuster, 29, enters the workout with proven experience from his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs—where he earned a Super Bowl LVII ring—and New England Patriots. The 6-foot-1 receiver has amassed 481 career receptions for 5,624 yards and 35 touchdowns. He also shares prior chemistry with Giants offensive coordinator Matt Nagy from their Chiefs tenure.
Berrios, 30, provides flexibility as both a wide receiver and return specialist. The ex-Jets and Dolphins player has 140 receptions for 1,360 yards and six touchdowns in his career, along with strong return skills that could help replace Olszewski’s production.
Veteran wide receiver Anthony Miller is also scheduled to attend Monday’s workout.
The workout underscores the Giants’ efforts to strengthen their offense during organized team activities.
