The New York Giants currently find themselves with a highly anticipated position battle on their hands.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Ben Sauls is competing with undrafted free agent Dominic Zvada for New York’s starting kicker role in 2026, as the duo has flashed elite potential on several occasions this offseason.
Zvada is an extremely talented rookie despite going undrafted in April. The former Michigan Wolverine was excellent over the course of minicamp as well, going a perfect 13-for-13 on field goals throughout the week.
The former Michigan star has had an up-and-down start to training camp despite his early success. Zvada worked with the second unit throughout Day 1 in West Virginia and went 3-of-5 during special teams drills.
Zvada bounced back on Thursday, however, nailing an impressive 57-yard field goal on day two of training camp.
Both Sauls and Zvada remain quality starting options moving forward, but Zvada has continued to impress with his range.
