Iowa basketball is set to host Jalen Davis for a fall official visit on Oct. 3, per 247Sports’ Brandon Jenkins.
The Hawkeyes are one of five schools that are slated to get an official visit from one of the country’s top guards, joining UCLA, Gonzaga, Stanford and Ole Miss.
Davis will visit UCLA on Oct. 16 and Gonzaga on Nov. 7 and is planning to schedule September visits to both Stanford and Ole Miss.
A 6-foot-3, 165-pound guard out of Bremerton, Wash., Davis is ranked as the nation’s No. 16 player overall, as the No. 3 combo guard and as the No. 1 player from Washington, per 247Sports. In Rivals’ rankings, Davis is rated as the No. 19 player nationally, as the No. 7 point guard and as the top player in Washington. Davis is a five-star prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings.
Davis impressed with his play during the Adidas 3SSB season with Slow Grind Elite, averaging 24.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game this summer.
Davis is the latest high-profile recruit that Ben McCollum and the Hawkeyes have been seriously linked to. Five-star guard Cayden Daughtry will visit Iowa on Sept. 11-13 and Jaxson Davis will visit Iowa on Sept. 19.
