The New York Giants entered Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers searching for their first win and were revitalized by the debut of Jaxson Dart as the team’s starting quarterback.
The fans were served a treat on Dart’s first drive when it concluded with a 15-yard rushing touchdown from the Giants’ rookie quarterback.
However, the Giants were hit by a flurry of injuries throughout the game to key players, including Jevon Holland, Jaxson Dart, Dru Phillips, and, most notably, Malik Nabers, which may turn out to end the young receiver’s sophomore season.
The Giants forced two turnovers on the day, both interceptions — one by Dru Phillips and one by Dexter Lawrence — and both were returned inside the Chargers’ 5-yard line.
The Giants led for the entirety of the game and even went up by 11 late in the third quarter, but the Chargers would answer with a touchdown on their ensuing possession and pull to within three on a two-point conversion.
The Giants would hold on to win by the final tally of 21-18
